AGOS organizes a sale of honey and products of the hive – From départements 35, 56 and 86.
Sale open to all Irisa and Inria agents
Stéphane Desjardins started his business in 2008. His farm is located in Ercé-près-Liffré, in Brittany.
The farm – told by the beekeeper, Stéphane Desjardins
“After a small experience as an informal beekeeper at the age of 14, I became a professional beekeeper following a reconversion of our farm (goat milk for 16 years), starting with 2 hives in 2008, the number of hives has grown gradually to reach about 300 colonies in the summer and 208 in the winter. Taught by a beekeeper who owns a dozen hives, I work as the old ones did, I leave the honey in the hive body for the winter and harvest only the supers. When harvesting, I unhive (remove the wax) the frames of the supers, I extract the honey cold, filter it and put it in a jar, without adding anything. I melt and use my own wax for the new colonies, I raise my new colonies from my own colonies. The apiaries (set of several hives) are located either in the forest, or at organic farmers, or in castle parks to limit the catastrophic effects of pesticides.

– Candies : 2.50 € the bag (honey, honey filled honey, pine honey, propolis honey, eucalyptus honey, honey lollipops) – produced by a confectioner with another honey producer (non local production)
– Soap with propolis honey, lavender honey, royal jelly honey, lemon mint honey : 2.50 € each 10 € for 5 – produced by a soap maker with another honey producer (non local production)
