Correspondent author
How and why do I specify which author to contact first?
==> How ?
When you make a submission, when entering the authors you can tick the box " Author to contact first" by entering the person’s email. This provides that person with notification about the submission and also sends the login details (the article’s password) for modifying it.
==> Why ?
To avoid publication duplicates (as the person is notified by email) and to prevent losing the ability to modify a submission (for example, if the submissions are made by someone who is likely to leave).
